One of the greatest joys of working at Boston International is the sudden surprise of meeting an old lover. You see an email from a familiar name, and then all of a sudden you remember the soft touch, her breath on yours, and the smoothness of skin (genetics + a lifetime investment in expensive unguents).
Parisa the Pixie warmed up my cold November morning with a playful "Hello", whichtook me back to one of the most romantic evenings of my life. Last winter, with cups of hot chocolate from Burdick's bolstered with peaty Laphroaig, Tom Waits on the mp3 player (not as romantic as vinyl but the only old memory I want to cling on to is of Parisa), and a hotel room where the heat was turned up because by the time we got to the third sip of our chocolate, neither of us had a stitch on.
I remember Parisa laughing into my mouth and the twinkle in her eye turning into a flash as we explored the art of togetherness. I remember hair hair trailing down, watching her twirl, and well, I remember so much more.
Welcome back, my love.
